Nokia Phones relaunched as Ex-Rovio CEO being hired

Nokia is Back!

There are lots of news from the past concerning revival of Nokia Phones in the market. And this news is a statement to that as HMD Global Oy, a new Finnish company looking to relaunch the Nokia brand for phones, hired former CEO of Rovio, Pekka Rantala as their Chief Marketing Officer.

Nokia was once become the world's biggest mobile phone maker but as smartphone company such as Apple and Samsung rise to fame, the company was not able to transition to the new emerging market. It now focuses on telecoms network equipment as it sold its smartphone business.

With the revival of the said brand, HMD will also be partnering with Foxconn Technology’s FIH Mobile subsidiary to build the phones - the company that uses Nokia brand to release the Android-powered N1 tablet.
