Samsung Note S7 Officially Announced

The wait is over!

Galaxy Note 7 is here and yes, they skipped a number to streamline the naming and branding of their flagship models.

The phone's 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display has gotten a dual-edged display similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S7 Edge. The phone has also the same size as the Samsung S7 Edge except this phone is the first phone to have Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Same as other Samsung Flagship this phone has IP68 certification making it water resistant (to a point) for around 30 minutes in about a meter of water.

The S-Pen is also treated with a reduced latency to just 50ms, down from 70ms from last year, and increased the pressure range that the pen can detect. The overall diameter of the pen’s tip has gone down to 0.7 as well, which is close to the actual pen tip size of a real pen. The best part? The pen also works even if the screen is wet.
A new feature for the Note series is the Iris scanner. Samsung added a feature for more security as the alternative to the fingerprint scanner.
