IFA 2016: Acer Liquid Z6 And Z6 Plus Smartphones Announced!

Berlin, Germany - Acer has launched the Acer Liquid Z6 and Acer Z6 Plus. Both phones are mid-range handsets with modest specs.



Both devices are powered by MediaTek processors with the Acer Z6 opt for efficiency with its lower end MediaTek MT6737 quad-core, while the Z6 Plus is using a higher processor. The Acer Z6 is packed with a smaller 5 inch 720p HD display, 8GB ROM, 1GB RAM and 2000mAh battery. With efficiency mind and lower specs, we expect the Z6 to be in a budget friendly territory.  

The Acer Z6 Plus is a much opted for the higher mid-range class, which are dominated by Alcatel Flash Plus 2, Firefly Mobile AURII Envy and the older ASUS Zenfone 2. It sports a large 5.5-inch FHD screen, 32GB of internal storage, 3GB RAM and powered by a 4080mAh battery. The handset also has 13MP rear camera and 5MP selfie snapper. It is not yet clear what sensors the company is using. Both phones are LTE capable.

The Acer Liquid Z6 will retail at USD 130 (around 6K Pesos) while the Acer Liquid Z6 Plus is priced at USD 280 (around 13K Pesos). The devices will be available in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East later this year with a retail price of USD 130 (around Php6,000) while the Acer Liquid Z6 Plus is priced at USD 280 (around Php13,000).
